Welcome! Navigating life as a teen or young adult can be trying for most, particularly when you add in family stressors, anxiety, school challenges and peer relationships. Oftentimes, teens feel lost or misunderstood and need a safe space to work through those feelings and develop strategies for managing these challenges in a healthy way. I engage my clients in exploring these issues and work with them to better understand how to best respond utilizing skills to manage their emotions, based on their own skill-set and beliefs.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of the young person I am working with. I draw skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in a strength based, person-centered, humanistic manner. I believe that the most growth can be made in a therapeutic environment where the individual feels safe, connected and respected. I truly believe that with the right set of tools, teens can learn to navigate life effectively. I’m honored to work with the clients that I do.
