“The energies of mindfulness, concentration and insight can liberate us from our anxiety and worries. We let go of the past and the future, and come in touch with the wonders of the present.” – Thich Nhat Hahn
I believe that getting to know oneself takes courage and strength. Unlocking one’s own natural resiliency is a process that offers rewards of gratitude, awareness, and self-acceptance. I hope to be a part of your journey in learning how to cultivate your personal strengths, which provides an opportunity for growth and change.
I have prior experience and a passion for providing an evidence-based approach called Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as well as other effective treatment interventions for anxiety, phobias, and panic attacks. Additionally, I have completed trainings in trauma-focused therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Problem-Solving Therapy. I am informed on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) practices, and provide clients with the tools for coping with painful emotions and experiences. I am able to integrate these different approaches into therapy sessions in order to be able to work with all age groups and meet the unique needs of each individual. I believe in the importance of creating a non-judgmental space in order to foster a therapeutic relationship with the clients that I work with built on trust, safety, and compassion.
