Welcome. I am fortunate to have years of experience providing therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds and gender identities. I enjoy working with those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. I have honed a particular kind of listening that pays attention to patterns, especially self-defeating ones, that I bring to clients as a collaborator. I also have a passion for helping individuals navigate anger. For many of us, anger is a very difficult emotion to know how to handle and there seem to be few role models for what healthy anger looks like. My work is to make a consistent space that invites clients to connect with all parts of themselves, even those they may not be comfortable with.
I provide client-centered and trauma-informed psychotherapy that makes use of motivational interviewing, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. More than anything, I believe in the power of a therapeutic relationship that invites curiosity and radical honesty. One of the first things I often say to new clients is, “This is the one place in life you are invited to say everything.” All thoughts and feelings, no matter how scary, are welcome.
