Quiet Mind Therapy Services offers small group therapy sessions in addition to individual therapy sessions. All groups are $40 per session/wk. ( Healing From Trauma Group is $45) We do not accept insurance for our group services.
There are times in the course of your treatment when, depending on the nature of your struggle, you might benefit best from therapy by participating in group sessions rather than alone with one counselor. Sometimes it is helpful to work together, alongside others struggling with the same issue, for additional support and accountability to overcome a particularly challenging behavior pattern in your life. We are excited to be expanding this area of service soon!!
DBT Skills Group for Teens: Next module to begin May 2020! DBT is an acronym for Dialectical Behavior Therapy. DBT skills are educational tools to help your kiddo understand and manage intense emotion, tolerate painful situations without making them worse, interact effectively, and quiet the mind to focus attention and control one’s behavior. DBT skills groups are taught in a classroom-like manner, curriculum based, homework oriented, and content-driven. This group is for kids 13-17 years old, and will run on Tuesdays 6-7:15pm. Healing From Trauma Group– Next group begins January 20, 2020 and will run on Mondays from 6-7:15pm. This group is for those who have had trauma in their lives. The group will work on teaching how trauma is processed, skills and tools to heal from the trauma, ways to feel safe again and empowering group members with knowledge and support. The group is run by Lorrie Johnson, who is trained and certified in EMDR interventions, as well as other interventions to treat trauma. Come and heal with us, email email@example.com
Adult Anxiety Management Group– Group now forming!! Group will run on Wednesdays from 6-7 pm, starting mid February 2020 and will run for 8 sessions. This group will be for adults, 18 and up who are struggling with managing symptoms of anxiety.
